Our production facility,  in the Jacona, Michoacan region, is located in close proximity to customers in order to be able to ensure maximum freshness and quality. The raw materials are sourced globally and the frozen fruits are processed locally.

-Quality and Safety, zero tolerance in foreign bodies that represent a danger such as pathogens, toxic agents and / or cross contamination.

-Safety and Health, with the identification of hazards and risk reduction to avoid accidents and occupational diseases.

-The Environment, reducing to the maximum feasible the consumption of environmental resources, the generation of waste and the contamination of air, water and soil.

-Management Reviews where it includes financial indicators, legal aspects, continuous improvement and resource allocation.

AGRANA Fruit México S.A. DE C.V. nació en 1981 como SIASPORT en la Ciudad de Zamora, Michoacán, México. Fue establecida dentro de las instalaciones de una empresa del ramo, siendo una filial de SIAS MPA (Francia), posteriormente como Atys y ahora como AGRANA, desde entonces hemos acompañado el crecimiento del mercado de productos lácteos


En 1982, Pernord Ricard toma la dirección del grupo (SIAS MPA), el productor líder de preparados de frutas en el mundo.


En 1990, AGRANA Fruit México se establece dentro de sus propias instalaciones, en la Ciudad de Jacona, Michoacán, siendo filial de SIAS MPA bajo el nombre de SIASMEX.  Bajo el enfoque del control de la calidad del aprovisionamiento de fruta, apoyando a diferentes filiales y a un grupo selecto de clientes alrededor del mundo.


En 1993 se inaugura la actual Planta AGRANA Fruit  México en Jacona, Michoacán, donde se concentran las operaciones de las 2 compañías: SIASPORT, S.A. DE C.V. y SIASMEX, S.A. DE C.V.


Durante el año 2002 se realizaron importantes cambios dentro del corporativo:

  • 23 de Mayo:
    El grupo SIAS MPA fue comprado por el grupo BUTLER CAPITAL PARTNERS de origen Francés.
  • 1 de Junio:
    El grupo SIAS MPA cambia su nombre a ATYS, S.A.
  • 1 de Julio:
    SIASMEX, S.A. DE C.V. y SIASPORT, S.A. DE C.V. se fusionan, permaneciendo el nombre de SIASPORT S.A. DE C.V.
  • 15 de Julio:
    SIASPORT, S.A. DE C.V. cambia su nombre a


En Enero del 2004, se firmaron los acuerdos de la toma de dirección de Atys S.A., por AGRANA.


 En 2006, AGRANA, el productor más sobresaliente de almidón y azúcar en Europa Central,  se ha convertido en el líder mundial de preparados de fruta.  AGRANA opera con 53 plantas de producción localizadas estratégicamente en diversos países alrededor del mundo.

La filial mexicana creada en 1981 actualmente cuenta con aproximadamente 640 empleados  y continuará apostando por fortalecer su posición  en los mercados actuales y potenciales ofreciendo soluciones integradas a los requerimientos y expectativas de nuestros clientes ahora bajo el nombre de AGRANA Fruit México, S.A de C.V.

The development of new products and innovations represent an integral part of AGRANA's fruit preparation business. Owing to short cycles of the life of the product of fruit yoghurt, it is important to be able to react quickly to changes in consumer behavior, to recognize development potential and to set new trends.

AGRANA Research and Innovation Center (ARIC)

To ensure its long term and sustainable success in a highly competitive market environment, it is AGRANA'S strategic goal to set itself apart from its competitors via continual technological optimisation and product innovations. On the one hand, AGRANA strives to optimise its production technologies, also as regards sustainability criteria, and on the other, the company collaborates with its clients to develop recipes, special products, and new uses for existing products. AGRANA  supports various research and development institutions to implement these strategies and to expand its comprehensive development expertise.

AGRANA's research and development activities are bundled at the "AGRANA Research & Innovation Center" in Tulln, Lower Austria (

In this Innovation Centre, teams of  food technologists identify strategic projects and work in direct collaboration with our customers and all AGRANA companies in the following areas:

  • Innovations concerning the optimization of processes and ingredients
  • Development of innovative concepts for different customer target groups and applications considering important trends
  • Know-how in the areas of food processing and ingredients

AGRANA plays a key role in the food chain, therefore the Food Safety and Quality Control Administration coupled with an  Environment administration in our processes is of fundamental importance to result in a comprehensive management system working under the strictest standards (ISO 9001:2015, FSSC22000,               ISO 14001:2015 and 45001:2018 ).
