AGRANA receives Henkel Sustainability Award

Fecha: 14.02.2020

The Austrian food and industrial goods company AGRANA, which also supplies the cosmetics industry with its diverse range of starch products, has received the Henkel Sustainability Award from Henkel AG.

Awarding AGRANA second place in its Beauty Care category, Henkel recently paid tribute in Orlando (Florida) to a starch product developed by AGRANA for a dry shampoo foam with which the synthetic components are being replaced by a biologically degradable product. The AGRANA starch product RICE P04 NATURAL selected by Henkel and certified with the international quality label “COSMOS natural” delivers greater cleansing efficiency in terms of the foaming formulation. As part of its specialities strategy in the starch segment, AGRANA is relying on both a natural and an organic product portfolio for cosmetics and is continuously extending this product range.

“We are delighted to be receiving this award. Our collaborations with renowned customers such as Henkel, whose product development strategy is characterised by a sensitive approach to resource usage, is perfectly aligned with our endeavours to engage in sustainable business practices. The maximum possible utilisation of agricultural commodities, a high degree of value added and the use of low-emission technologies during production represent joint objectives in the interests of practical sustainability, from the field to the end consumer,” highlights AGRANA Chief Sales Officer Fritz Gattermayer.

AGRANA will be presenting its diverse range of starch products for the cosmetics industry at the sector’s leading international trade fair, in-cosmetics Global, in Barcelona (2 - 4 April 2020; Stand C10).
